2004-2011: restorer, later workshop manager at Florian Leonhard Fine Violins Ltd., in London, mainly restoring top Italian instruments.

2011 - present: restorer at Reuning and Son Violins.

2013 teacher at the Oberlin Restoration course

Christian Schabbon, mostly known as one of the world's foremost violin restorers, also makes highly regarded true copies of antique instruments, which he has been able to observe in his long career at the world's most important violin shops.

His focuses  on making the best-sounding instruments as well as copying originals to minute detail and to the highest standards of his trade.
