Ioannis Apostolou

Ioannis Apostolou was born in Greece in 1981 and began playing the violin at the age of 8. After graduating from the Conservatory of Thessaloniki, he moved to Italy to attend The International Violin Making School in Cremona, where he graduated in 2005.

He then gained extensive experience working with Boris Sverdlik,  follower of the New York workshop of Jacques Français and René Morel.

In 2010, Ioannis relocated to Brescia, Italy, where he worked for several years in the renowned Filippo Fasser Workshop.

In 2017, he established his own workshop in the heart of Brescia.

Ioannis' continuous study of antique varnishes and his dedication to sourcing the finest crafting materials give his violas, violins and cellos a unique and exceptional quality. His repertoire includes creating superior replicas of iconic Italian masterpieces from the 17th and 18th centuries.

Today, he is highly regarded and sought after for the rich, powerful soloist sound of his instruments.
