With over 30 years of experience, Isabelle Wilbaux has crafted violins, violas, and cellos played by some of the world’s most distinguished musicians. Known for their power, warmth, and tonal beauty, her instruments are the result of thousands of hours of research, experimentation, and meticulous craftsmanship. Wilbaux’s work provides musicians with an exceptionally rich and balanced palette of sound, ensuring expressive depth and versatility.
Her expertise has been recognized through numerous awards, including multiple medals for tone and workmanship from the Violin Society of America (1998–2018), a Bronze Medal at the Paris International Violin Making Competition (1999), and the Sacconi Prize at the Cremona Triennale International (1994, viola). She is also an esteemed member of organizations such as the American Federation of Violin and Bow Makers, the Violin Society of America, and the Canadian Association of Violin and Bow Makers.
